TONE OF VOICE
The aim of the publication is to catalogue the conversations/statements in order of seriousness.
Therefore, I feel each conversation should be typeset appropriately to reflect the manner in which the conversation was spoken.
This particular statement was whispered so the person whom the statement was about didn't hear.
I have set the statement in 8pt Baskerville. The format (at the moment) is A5 so 8pt might be a little big.
I'll have to test print to find out.
In contrasted I've used a stronger statement with swearing in it. I've chosen a stronger, heavier weighted typeface (brandon grotesque black)
The swearing might be a bit much but I want to hint to the reader the statement contains a curse word. So I've used a duct tape vector covering the word.
Because the statement is such a strong one I've increased the point size to fill the page. I have also centre aligned the type. I'm not usually a fan of centred type and it's not fully adjusted mechanically. I just wanted to see how the statement worked on the centre of the page.
Using type in the background on this one. This was to emphasise the strength of the word.
On the second design I've included the duct tape.
This design would possibly lend it self more to a poster rather than in a book.
But I'll have to see how the others turn out first.
