Today I've spent a short while looking at different stocks and seeing how they would be relevant for each brief. Amber mentioned by the end of this week to email her a list of requests from Gfsmith so it's worth looking. From the crit Fred mentioned it should all be about production from now on and
I strongly believe stock choices can significantly improve the work. Or maybe make it worse. But it's important to take it into consideration. However, saying that, I'm aware that the stock consideration would need to be relevant to the work I'm doing. So if I'm creating a clean minimal identity for someone with no noise and distractions, I wouldn't go for a heavily textured stock.
This particular stock would be really nice for Rosie's branding as it's quite textured and reflects her work quite nicely. However, it's only 170GSM which isn't great for stuff like business cards.
Forgive the bad quality photos. These Sorbet Yellow will look really good for the dialogues brief. The dialogues brief is more experimental than the others so it allows me to experiment with colours and stocks.
