Yearbook development

With Chris and Sarah working on the posters, I thought I should take responsibility despite all the mishaps and the unfortunate meetings with Suzi. So, I've started work on the PDF. Suzi doesn't want any information nor descriptions. Just purely the images of the student's work, their name and their contact details.

I thought it was best not to cement a grid at this point, as we were still unclear what Suzi wanted so thought I'd start with an 8 column page. This particular student seem to be the best to work with as she had suitable photography and enough images to work with.

For the student's name I used the yearbook's core typeface 'Brandon Grotesque' and Garamond for the contact details.

However, I realised at this point that a neutral typeface, such as helvetica would be more appropiate.
I've also tried out different weights for the student's name. For the first name I;ve used a regular weight of Brandon Grotesque surname I've used black weight.

In terms of layout, I've tried out full bleed for the title page so it's more dynamic as well as tiling the student's work on the right page.

For this particular student, I've had to make her name White on an image as the black wouldn't stand out too well. This student's work also included some illustrations which I've put on the right page. I think the 'home page' for each student is working well as it's dynamic and shows off the student's work in the best way.
