Record label Brief.

Today I started my record label brief. Firstly, I needed a name. I started listing words associated with Leeds. I didn't want to think about it too much but I knew I wanted a name which was short and catchy. A name that really stood out was OWL. Owls are featured on the Leeds coat of Arms and owl sculptures can be seen dotted about the city center.

I questioned it's ability to become an acronym but nothing seemed to fit and I just think the word OWL worked well as it was. I then started doodling some initial logo ideas. I wanted to simplify the design and keep with the key features of an owl (big eyes, beak, peculiar head shape etc)
